Letter from Henry Lynch SJ, a scholastic in Louvain, to Irish Fr Provincial Thomas Brown SJ. Writes in reply to Fr Brown[e]’s query in relation to the distribution in the Irish Province of Holy Communion to lay brothers, novices and servers. Encloses extracts from works to which Fr Brown is directed by Fr Corluy (included). Reports on the Irish in Louvain, who ‘are well & very happy.’ Asserts that Ireland is soon to have ‘a Government of Bashibazooks’. Asks Fr Browne to pray for him that he may receive the sacrament of priesthood the following year.
