Deed of annuity: Josephine Sharpel to Fr Thomas Head SJ and Fr John Gately SJ

Copy of deed, in which it is agreed that Sharpel will pay the sum of £500 stg to Frs Head and Gately, on condition that the latter undertake to pay to her the yearly sum of £25 'during the term of her natural life (11 September 1893, 1 page). Accompanied by a draft/copy of a promissory note signed by Frs. Head and Gately, who promise to pay to Sharpel sum of £200 stg, with interest at the rate of five per cent per annum (12 September 1893, 1 page)

Fundraising campaign for Crescent College renovations

Documents relating to a drive to secure donations and low-interest loans to pay for the building work on the college interior. Includes a printed circular from the Rector requesting money ([1927], 2pp), and a letter from P. Liston, a pharmaceutical chemist in O'Connell Street, Limerick, offering a loan of £100 stg (27 September 1927, 2pp).

Lists of benefactors to the Sacred Heart Church and Crescent College, Limerick

Each notebook is divided alphabetically, and entries are handwritten. They include the names and addresses of the various benefactors and the amount of money donated or frequency of subscription to Sacred Heart Church and Crescent College, Limerick. Further information is sometimes given, such as the specific intention of the patron when giving donations (eg., for the repair of a building, or the maintenance of a sanctuary lamp); change of address; the patrons' status or membership of sodality, choir etc. One of the notebooks' title is 'List of Benefactors of the House & College for invitations to Plays etc.', and includes the number of tickets given to certain benefactors. The notebooks include several insertions, some of which are letters from the benefactors themselves.
