Also includes correspondence from both banks, and account statements.

Ledger-style record of incoming and outgoing moneys. Divided in three: church, house and school accounts, and divided into months within these sections. Outgoings include wages, candles, altar wine, coal, laundry, postage, electricity, medical fees, construction work etc. Income includes collections, retreats, special Masses, pensions, grants, rents etc.

Correspondence between Dr George Butler, Bishop of Limerick, and the Society, in relation to the taking and repayment by the later of a loan of £1000 stg. Includes a promissory note signed by Fr Thomas Kelly SJ, in which he undertakes to repay the loan (31 October 1867, 1 item).

Lists under the headings 'Receipts', 'Payments', 'Lodgements' and 'Expenditure' relating to the income and
expenditure associated with the Crescent Carnival held at Belfield Park from 13-29 May 1949. Accompanied by thank you cards addressed to those who had supported the carnival, and signed by Fr Timothy Mulcahy SJ.

Copy of deed, in which it is agreed that Sharpel will pay the sum of £500 stg to Frs Head and Gately, on condition that the latter undertake to pay to her the yearly sum of £25 'during the term of her natural life (11 September 1893, 1 page). Accompanied by a draft/copy of a promissory note signed by Frs. Head and Gately, who promise to pay to Sharpel sum of £200 stg, with interest at the rate of five per cent per annum (12 September 1893, 1 page)

Documents relating to a drive to secure donations and low-interest loans to pay for the building work on the college interior. Includes a printed circular from the Rector requesting money ([1927], 2pp), and a letter from P. Liston, a pharmaceutical chemist in O'Connell Street, Limerick, offering a loan of £100 stg (27 September 1927, 2pp).

Each notebook is divided alphabetically, and entries are handwritten. They include the names and addresses of the various benefactors and the amount of money donated or frequency of subscription to Sacred Heart Church and Crescent College, Limerick. Further information is sometimes given, such as the specific intention of the patron when giving donations (eg., for the repair of a building, or the maintenance of a sanctuary lamp); change of address; the patrons' status or membership of sodality, choir etc. One of the notebooks' title is 'List of Benefactors of the House & College for invitations to Plays etc.', and includes the number of tickets given to certain benefactors. The notebooks include several insertions, some of which are letters from the benefactors themselves.

Memorandum of agreement, in which McElligott assigns to the sum of £200 stg to Fr Thomas Maher SJ, on the condition that itis to be paid back at a rate of £4 per cent per annum interest. Signed and sealed by both parties, and signed by witnesses. Includes an earlier letter from McElligott to Maher offering the loan.

Mary Maher assigns Fr Thomas Maher SJ the sum of £100 stg, to be paid back at the interest rate of five pounds per cent per annum. Signed and sealed by both parties and witnesses.

'School accounts; vol 4; From Sept. 1874 to' [1881] - handwritten account ledger with index. Includes record of the payment of school fees by the pupils' parents. Amounts entered as paid, in instalments. Includes accounts from a later period [1927-], which were later copied into another account book. Also includes a handwritten page stuck to the inside cover re. expenditure on construction/renovation, and an insertion re household expenditure.

Receipt for repayment by Fr Michael Browne SJ of £203 stg, being the principal amount plus interest, originally lent by an unidentifiable person to Fr Thomas Maher SJ, when Rector of the College. Includes a letter from Fr Browne in relation to the loan.

Receipt for £300 stg received from Fr William Ronan SJ to Fr William Delany SJ. States that the latter is responsible to Maryborough Convent for the sum.

Receipts for loan and repayment of the sum of £400 stg, with interest at the rate of 3 per cent per annum.

Receipt for the sum of £150 stg lent by Bonham to Fr Thomas Maher SJ at the rate of 3 per cent per annum interest. Includes an acknowledgment of the repayment of loan and interest, signed by Bonham.

Copy of receipt acknowledging the loan of £600 stg given by Collins to Fr Maher SJ. Includes notes on two repayments of £25, and also a typewritten latter from Henry St. J. Blake, solicitor, to Fr James Gubbins SJ, acknowledging receipt of a cheque for £400.

Record of income from church collections for Sacred Heart Church, Limerick. Handwritten lists of sums of money collected at Mass on Sundays and holy days, as well as money from shrines etc.

Handwritten record of rents received, including the name of property (land at Court Brack, Westbourne, Limerick) and tenant (John Fogarty), and amounts involved. Also includes a list of money earned from shares and certificates.

Typewritten copy of will. Amongst other bequests to nephews, niece and brothers, Hanly leaves £1000 to 'the Rector of the Jesuits Order in Limerick...for masses to be said in public' for the repose of the souls of his parents, wife and himself.
