◆ Father MacErlean Notes
BROTHER THOMAS WILLIAM BROWNE

He was resident in the College of Cordova de Tucuman in 1767 at the time of the expulsion.
His nationality is not quite certain. Father Boero calls him English, but foreigners are inaccurate in distinguishing English, Irish, and Scotch. The Spanish records merely call him a foreigner.
According to Father Boero, "he visited the exiled Fathers on board their ship, and although he could have got ashore he preferred to share their hardships and wandering fortunes."

Unclear what happened to him.
